Famous “Big Red One” To Hold 2007 Reunion In St Louis, Missouri

Blue Bell, PA – Veterans of the Army's renowned 1st Infantry Division, the Big Red One, will hold their 89th Annual Reunion in St Louis, Missouri from August 8-12, 2007 at the Millennium Hotel. The reunion is sponsored by the Big Red One veterans' organization, the Society of the First Infantry Division located in Blue Bell, PA.

The 1st Infantry Division is the Army's oldest and most famous division. It fought with great distinction in World War I, World War II, Vietnam, the Gulf War and now, Operation Iraqi Freedom. The Division's 2nd Brigade Combat Team from Germany is currently in Iraq on its second deployment.

Over 700 Big Red One veterans and their guests attended the 88th Annual Reunion recently held in the Phoenix, Arizona. The Commanding General of the Division and a large contingent of young Big Red One veterans from Iraq added a new dimension to the reunion, demonstrating their respect for the great legacy handed down to them, as they write a new chapter in the 1st Infantry Division's outstanding history.

Everyone who ever served in the First Infantry Division or any unit attached to it is cordially invited to attend the reunion.

Details and reservation forms will be available in the spring issue of the Society's newspaper, The Bridgehead Sentinel or after March 1, 2007 on our website: www.1stID.org, or from:
