1st ID Field Artillery Reunion
And Welcome to Fort Sill, Oklahoma

April 22-24, 2024

The 1st Infantry Division Field Artillery Association will hold its next reunion in Lawton/Ft Sill,
Oklahoma, April 22-24, 2024. We will have activities planned at Ft Sill on Tuesday and
Wednesday with Field Artillery and Air Defense Artillery units, lunch with the troops, a live fire
exercise {depending on schedule of fires} and FA & ADA Museum visitation {scheduling

TBA}.

We have scheduled this Reunion for the same week as the BRO Officer’s Dinner on Saturday,
April 27. Those of you who choose to attend both will have ample travel time to make it to Fort
Riley for Friday activities and the Saturday Night Dinner. We welcome all the BRO Regimental
members and families to come visit Fort Sill, the Home of the Field Artillery and Air Defense
Artillery. The Soldiers and staff of the “Fires Center of Excellence” would like to show you how
“Artillery is Making It Happen” not only for our own Armed Forces but our allies as well.

Accommodations

Accommodation has been arranged with the Homewood Suites by Hilton near downtown
Lawton at the rate of $110 per night, which includes complimentary continental breakfast. Make

Tuesday - Activities at Ft Sill with live fire demonstration and lunch at the Patriot Club,
Dissertation by Scott Lingamfelter on BRO Artillery in Desert Storm and book signing at the
Hotel 1700 hours

Wednesday – Activities at Ft Sill with Air Defense Artillery, lunch at the Patriot Club, Museum
visits-Dinner-Mike’s Sports Grill from the Menu
Thursday – Depart for Home
Our daily schedule may change according to the training schedule. One day will be ADA and the
other FA. The DFAC dining facilities are undergoing remodeling too stressed out to
accommodate us so that’s why we’ll be having lunch at the Patriot Club.
As reservations arrive, I’ll list their names and units they served with on this document which I’ll
try to update twice a month until the week before the event.
Visitors Passes

Ft Sill Visitor passes are not necessary for retired military or service-connected veterans who
have DOD ID’s. All others need passes and the easiest way is to go online to Visitor Welcome
Center | VWC | Fort Sill | Oklahoma | Fires Center of Excellence (army.mil) and fill out the registration
online and either print it off or follow instructions to install on your smart phone. Be sure to read most
frequently asked questions about how/what/when. It is important to have this done before your arrival to
prevent any delays in activity scheduling.
